When the County Attorney determines outside counsel is necessary, he may select outside counsel, subject at times to approval from the Harris County Commissioners Court. The County Attorney urges any law firm with interest in any of our practice areas to submit a response to our Request for Qualifications. The Harris County Attorney’s office anticipates selecting law firms as the need arises based on the firm’s knowledge, experience, skills, resources, expertise, and the firm’s commitment to billing rates and practices that provide a fair and reasonable price. Preference will be given to those firms that have submitted a response to this Request for Qualifications.
