County Attorney Kamin Files Suit to Shut Down Prostitution Operation at Bogus Massage Spa
HOUSTON - Harris County Attorney Abbie Kamin is partnering with law enforcement and has filed in court to shutdown a business allegedly selling sex acts while illegally representing themselves as a spa. The petition was filed Tuesday in 515th Civil Court.
QQ Spa at 6909 Ashcroft has a demonstrated history of prostitution. The lawsuit cites multiple instances since February 2025 where undercover police officers solicited sexual acts from workers at the spa. None of the workers or owners have licenses to operate as massage therapists. The suit also names property owners Ashcroft Center, LLC., the company’s owners in their individual capacity, and management company Y & K Real Estate, L.P., as defendants.
Operations like this don’t exist in a vacuum—we must all do our part to keep an eye out for illegal activities and report them to law enforcement. Thousands of individuals, often times women, are forced into the devastating illegal industry of prostitution in Harris County, and lawsuits like this are a tool to ensure establishments do not serve as a cover for illegal activity that preys on women and other victims.
"We are going to use the full force of our office to go after anyone that takes advantage of, and abuses, women, and creates public safety risks for our community. I am grateful for our partnerships with law enforcement as we pursue all available actions under the law," said Kamin.
Kamin is requesting the judge identify the business as a nuisance to the community, requiring the business owners not operate massage establishments until the nuisance has been abated and the establishment and its employees have valid massage therapist licenses.
